Merciful like the Father is the Official Hymn for the Holy Year of Mercy (2015-2016). The title is drawn from John 6:36, Misericordes sicut Pater. It is composed by Paul Inwood (music) and Eugenio Costa, SJ (text).
It was performed by the Kildare and Leighlin Diocesan Choir (soloist Julianne Woods) during the Chrism Mass on 21 March, 2016.
